My friend and I dined there tonight for restaurant week $42 3 course pre-fix, such a great deal and so worth it, especially for a farm-to-table trendy spot!!
They first serve you freshly baked bread rolls that are topped with what tasted like truffle salt then 2 types of house made butters, one regular and one with garden herbs. Once dipped in either instantly melts in your mouth! SOO Good!
We both chose the tuna carpaccio to start which was a tiny portion but completely fresh, light, and delightful.
For the main course we both had the “catch of the day” which was pan seared porgi with wild mushrooms, charred escarole and topped with blood orange. The skin of the fish was perfectly crisp that made such a great crunch crust. Now the sauce adios mio The Sauce!!! Was a buttery (but not creamy) mushroom sauce with almost a blueberry zest taste. Whatevs that 3rd component was that I can’t put my finger on, it was Out Of This World!!!
Highly recommended farm-to-table Aura Rated restaurant that is convenient to meet right in the center of the city and a 5 minute walk to grand central.
